My HE Journey: Beyond the Classroom
Learners will be guided through one of our Graduate Interns’ own journeys into and through higher education. This includes how our Graduate Interns chose what to study, where to study and any other challenges they overcame. There is a discussion of common myths associated with higher education and an opportunity for learners to discuss any concerns or worries they may have about HE. Learners will also be introduced to student finance and UCAS and the application process for apprenticeships.

It will equip learners with the research skills needed to understand which apprenticeship appeals to them. Learners will also be introduced to the concept of higher and degree apprenticeships and how they compare to university routes. The session also focuses on the apprenticeship opportunities available in Cumbria and the session will feature additional focus on the area it is delivered in.
