For Year 8 and your alternate KS4 Year Group

Due to reduced funding this year, we are unable to promise full year group delivery for Year 8 and Year 10 or 11 (depending on which one you choose for the full programme). This is something that can be discussed again as the year progresses, but the current situation is that we can deliver the appropriate workshops for 1 target group from each of these year groups. As well as this, we are working with partners to promote their collaboration with schools and are developing workshops that can be delivered by school staff but introduced by partners. We will keep you informed on the progress with this, but please feel free to ask any questions in your meeting with your officer.
The workshops are to generally focus on trying out an element of a job, researching routes into those careers and exploring different elements. For example, an adaptation of the NHS workshop at the HE Futures Day 2026.
