Future Selves
Personal Identity
This workshop allows students to explore aspects of their unique identity, including their interests, preferences and favourite things to do. In turn students will be asked to explore the skills and knowledge necessary for these and how these can be applied to have a growth mindset for their future success in school and their future.

Communicating Confidently
This workshop asks students to explore what effective communication looks like in different situations and how this can benefit them in school and in the future. As well as this, they will identify their own communication skills and practice these in groups.

My Future Self
This workshop will ask students to explore the variety of future options available to them and consider the educational pathways they could take. To do this, they will also explore their own personal values and motivations and how these may influence future decisions.

Learn Lab
Let’s Read
Let’s Read is offered to identified Year 7 or 8 learners, who will work in groups of 6.
Let’s Read is an intensive reading programme, consisting of weekly sessions,
each lasting approx. 1 lesson time. As well as this, we are working to incorporate further trips this year to support employer and university access.
The aim is to support learners to reach their expected reading age. Learners will work through a reading scheme, supported by tailored activities and group discussions to develop comprehension and literacy skills. The programme is delivered by Graduate Interns.
